William H. Truax III, D.M.D. (Dr. Billy) is a third-generation dentist in Fort Myers, born and raised in the community he proudly serves. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Biomedical Physics from the University of South Florida, followed by attending the University of Florida College of Dentistry. During dental school, Dr. Billy received two prestigious awards for implant studies and another recognizing his outstanding oral surgery skills. After graduation, he returned to Fort Myers to practice alongside his father, Dr. William H. Truax II, continuing a family tradition of exceptional dental care.
Dr. Billy is married to his high school sweetheart, Amber, and together they have two children, Savannah and Will. Outside the office, the family enjoys spending time outdoors. Whether boating and fishing during the summer or camping and hunting in the winter, they appreciate every opportunity to enjoy Florida’s natural beauty together.

Evan McElroy D.M.D. (Dr. Evan) is a Fort Myers native living out his dream of being the local neighborhood dentist providing heartfelt care to his community. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Health Sciences. Shortly after, he married his high school sweetheart and moved north to the state of Kentucky to attend dental school at the University of Louisville. After graduating Magna Cum Laude and being inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society, he moved back home to Fort Myers to be close to family and start one of his own. He is outnumbered by two beautiful daughters, and spends his time at parks, pools, watching hockey (go Blades!), working out, or playing disc golf.

What insurance providers do you accept?
We accept all insurance that allows you to choose your provider. We accept payment from all insurances that allows us to be the assignor of benefits. Dental insurance is a very complicated thing; please call us with your unique situation so we can figure out how to help.
If you are not in my network can I still have you as my doctor?
Absolutely! This depends on the rules your insurance company has which will decide how things get billed and reimbursed. Give us a call so we can figure it out.
Why should I go to the dentist regularly?
Studies have shown oral health is linked to your overall health, especially diabetes and heart health. Simply put, the fewer bacteria in your mouth the less bacteria that can float around your body and cause inflammation and other bad things. It is also way easier (and cheaper) to catch problems in your mouth before they hurt.
What can I expect on my first visit?
Your first visit will depend on what your needs are. If you are having a problem that needs immediate attention, you will get an appointment with the doctor to address that need. If you need a new dentist for all your general needs you will get an appointment with the hygienist for a new patient appointment. That appointment is approximately an hour and a half. At that appointment, you will have any x-rays taken that are needed and all the data gathered to evaluate your oral health and a complete oral exam including an oral cancer screening. A majority of the time you will get your teeth cleaned at that appointment. In some specialized cases that are very complex, like a new smile makeover or active gum disease, you may be given another appointment with the appropriate provider to go over options or gum treatment.
